The New York Knicks are set to visit the Capital One Arena on Tuesday for an NBA clash against the Washington Wizards. The Wizards (5-24) sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, while the Knicks (22-10) currently hold the third spot.

Washington has struggled significantly this season, ranking as the weakest team in the East. Their woes continued on Sunday when they suffered a narrow 136-132 loss to the Knicks, marking their 24th defeat in 29 games.

Despite the loss, Justin Champagnie delivered an impressive 31-point performance, with Malcolm Brogdon contributing 22 points. The team had a solid shooting night, hitting 51% from the field and knocking down 17 of 38 attempts from three-point range. However, the Wizards remain among the league's bottom seven teams both offensively and defensively, averaging 108.4 points per game (24th) while conceding a league-worst 122.3 PPG.

On the other hand, Sunday’s victory extended New York’s dominant run, giving them 12 wins in their last 14 games and seven straight since their NBA Cup quarter-final elimination.

Jalen Brunson was the star of the night, erupting for 55 points and nine assists, while Karl-Anthony Towns posted a double-double with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Mikal Bridges also contributed 21 points.

The Knicks have established themselves as a balanced force, ranking in the top 10 on both ends of the floor. They stand seventh in scoring, averaging 117.6 PPG, and eighth defensively, allowing just 110.0 PPG.

Two nights ago, the New York Knicks and Washington Wizards played at Capital One Arena, and the Knicks won 136-132 (OT).

Mikal Bridges had 21 points, Karl-Anthony Towns had 30 points and 14 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson scored 55 points for the Knicks. Malcolm Brogdon scored 22 points and Bilal Coulibaly scored 18, while Justin Champagnie scored 31 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Wizards.

The Knicks have defeated the Wizards seven times in a row. Additionally, they have won nine of the last ten head-to-head meetings.

They took control after being held to a 1-1 tie in their opening match, winning five games in a row without giving up, and with one game remaining, they were promoted to League B.

Blagoja Milevski's team hopes to make history by being the first representatives of their nation to compete in a World Cup between now and November. They may compete with Belgium, Wales, and Kazakhstan for a spot in Group J's top two.

The Macedonians will want to get off to a quick start this month, first visiting Vaduz and then hosting Wales in Skopje. This is because only the top club from each of the 12 groups will automatically qualify, while the second-place teams will have to play in a playoff.
