New York has been on a tear lately, and it is not just because of Wall Street executives who are making more money than they know what to do with. It would be in the wake of a triumph over the Wizards who have Jalen Brunson playing one of the best games in his career. That victory makes it seven straight for the New York Knicks.

It is for these seven games that New York has been scoring an average of 119.6 points in a game, shooting a field goal percentage of 50.2 percent and a 3-point percentage of 37. The collective Knicks have been almost invincible of late, and that should be the case against the Wizards Monday night.

The Knicks have met the Wizards twice in their regular season games. Another win for the Knicks was achieved on December 28th, while defeating Washington, the Knicks also defeated the Wizards in November, but with a score of 28 points. In those two games against Washington the Knicks are averaging a hefty 135.0 points per game.

In addition to that, New York is converting at 54.3 percent from the field against Washington and also 37.5 percent from a distance. New York has had no problem scoring against the Wizards and will not change Monday night. So long as the Knicks take to their current play out against Washington, they will meet the spread line.

New York is allowing the eighth fewest points thus far this season. Even better for New York, the Wizards average the seventh-lowest point total in the league and have literally never scored on a fast break.

Washington lowest third field goal % in the league this season, Washington low third three point %, and Washington is third in league in TOs this NBA season. This Knicks team should have no problem holding the Wizards to a loss on Monday night, and winning this game.

Just something to know and remember the Knicks could be without Jalen Brunson due to an injury Monday night. I don’t think Knicks could have lost the last game and Brunson contributed a lot against the Wizards.

When Brunson wasn't playing, the Knicks scored over 10 points less per game the previous season. The Knicks' ability to score would suffer greatly if the former second-round pick were no longer in charge of the offense.

In their most recent game, Washington did score 132 points against the Knicks. They can only defeat New York on Monday if they maintain their offensive pace. Washington made 17 three-pointers and shot 51.5 percent from the floor during the defeat. Their two leading scorers, Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, were not present. In the defeat, they were able to pass the ball effectively and create open shots for one another, which is what this game needs.

The New York Knicks' victory on Sunday was their seventh consecutive since their elimination from the NBA Cup quarterfinals and their 12th in 14 games.

In the victory, Mikal Bridges scored 21 points, Karl-Anthony Towns scored 30 points and pulled down 14 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson scored an incredible 55 points and dished out nine assists.
