RB Leipzig vs Stuttgart

RB Leipzig face a must-win situation in their final Bundesliga match of the season on Saturday, as a defeat at home to Stuttgart would likely see them miss out on European competition.

Despite drawing their last two at Red Bull Arena, Leipzig had previously won seven of 10 home games, showing they can still be formidable on their turf. Interim manager Zsolt Low will be hoping his side can rediscover that form when it matters most.

Stuttgart, meanwhile, come into this match in ninth place with 47 points, following a dominant 4-0 win over Augsburg—helped by their opponents going down to 10 men early in the match. However, it took until the second half for Stuttgart to pull away, which may raise questions about their cutting edge.

Defensively, Stuttgart have shown improvement, securing back-to-back clean sheets for the first time since May 2024, ending a 45-game stretch without doing so.

Under coach Sebastian Hoeness, Stuttgart have had Leipzig’s number recently, winning the reverse fixture 2-1 in January and claiming three consecutive victories over Die Roten Bullen by an aggregate score of 10-4.

Although Leipzig have had mixed results lately, Stuttgart’s away form has been impressive, suffering just two losses in their last 13 road matches and securing seven wins in that span.
