Scotland’s Rangers, who have been without defeat in their last five matches, will confront the struggling Aberdeen side at the Ibrox Stadium, in the Wednesday night’s Scottish Premiership footballd fixture.

The hosts of course are level on points with the leaders and have 44 points from their 22 matches in the league while the visitors are fourth in the table with 35 points from their 22 fixtures.

One might be excused for thinking that Rangers have started the season well, especially with they currently occupying the second place in the Scottish Premiership, but for the Gers have been nothing more than inconsistent this seas.

Rangers managing was heavily criticized after; Philippe Clement was only able to take the Gers to the worst start to a campaign after 12 matches since Rangers returned to the Scottish top flight in 2016-17 where it has a record of only seven wins, two draws and three losses.

They were for awhile rectified as they claimed four on the spin Scottish Premiership matches but in recent games the team has shown signs of weakness with only two wins, three draws and a loss in the last six games.

Such results have positioned Rangers, already further behind their rivals the Celtic at the top, 15 points adrift of the summit after as many as 22 games only, and the club would hope to embark on a rich vein of victories in the coming fixtures to try and bridge that margin.

Facing Aberdeen might be the best chance for the Gers to clinch another three points because Aberdeen has not won any of the past 11 games in the league.

That is a significant decline from the promising beginning of the season Aberdeen had, where Thelin’s boys went through their first sixteen games without a loss, amassing fifteen wins and one draw in all competitions.

They ultimately suffered a humbling 6-0 loss to Celtic in the Scottish League Cup semi-final, and although they initially recovered with a 4-1 victory against Dundee, they have lost their last 11 games, with just four draws and seven losses.

As a result, Aberdeen dropped from sharing the top spot with Celtic to fourth position in the rankings with 35 points from 22 games, just eight points more than seventh-place St Mirren.

When they play Rangers on Wednesday, a team Aberdeen has defeated twice in the previous five games, along with two losses and one draw, Thelin will be hoping to finally end their miserable winless streak.

In the 87th minute of their most recent 3-1 victory over St Johnstone, Danilo also sustained an injury. As a result, Mohammed Diomande might be moved up, with Connor Barron partnering Nicolas Raskin in central midfield.

With another goal in their most recent game, his sixth in five games, Hamza Igamane's incredible run of form continued, and the striker is probably going to stay in the attack here.
