Having endured two agonizing defeats in the initial face-offs of this series at home in New York, the Sixers finally made a triumphant return to the Wells Fargo Center for Game 3 on Thursday night. They secured a resounding victory, marking their largest winning margin in the series so far. Philadelphia unleashed an offensive onslaught, tallying 125 points with a shooting accuracy of 55% from the field and 48% from three-point range, clinching a 125-114 win and narrowing New York’s lead to 2-1.

Despite trailing 58-55 at halftime, they dominated the second half, propelling them to victory. Joel Embiid delivered a stellar performance, erupting for 50 points and eight rebounds on an impressive 13-of-19 shooting display. Tyrese Maxey contributed 25 points, hitting 9 of 21 shots, while Kelly Oubre chipped in with 15 points. Throughout the season, the 76ers have maintained an average of 114.6 points per game, ranking 15th in the NBA, while conceding 111.5 points per outing, placing them ninth in the league.

The New York Knicks witnessed a resurgence from All-Star guard Jalen Brunson in Game 3, although it proved insufficient to stave off a 125-114 defeat. Despite holding a three-point lead at halftime, the Knicks were overwhelmed by Embiid's dominant second-half performance, resulting in their series lead being trimmed to 2-1. Brunson led the team with 39 points and 13 assists in the loss, with Josh Hart contributing 20 points.

As they aim for an immediate rebound, the Knicks will be without Robinson, who sustained an injury in the last match. Looking ahead, the Knicks must not only focus on containing Embiid but also on refining their overall game strategy from the onset of the match.

Center Embiid (potentially unavailable), despite experiencing various health issues, has exerted significant influence over New York's games. In the recent Game 3, despite facing Bell's palsy and dealing with discomfort in his left knee, he showcased a remarkable performance, scoring 50 points, securing eight rebounds, and providing four assists against the Knicks. In the 104-101 loss in Game 2, he achieved a double-double with 34 points and 10 rebounds. Throughout the regular season, Embiid, who started in all 39 games, maintained impressive averages of 34.7 points, 11 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.2 steals.

Point guard Tyrese Maxey has been in scorching form throughout the postseason. In all three games, where he started, he has maintained an average of 31 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. He hasn't scored less than 25 points in any game of this series and almost clinched a triple-double in Game 2. During that match, he tallied 35 points alongside 10 assists and nine rebounds in a 44-minute performance.

Point guard Jalen Brunson remains the driving force behind New York's offense. In Game 3, he achieved his first postseason double-double with 39 points and 13 assists in 45 minutes of play. In Game 2, he contributed 24 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. His performance has notably escalated during the postseason, with averages of 28.3 points, 8.7 assists, and 5.7 rebounds in 41.7 minutes across three games.

Shooting guard Josh Hart has significantly surpassed his regular-season scoring average, contributing significantly to New York's lead in the series. He has secured two double-doubles in the playoffs, highlighted by a 22-point, 13-rebound performance in Game 1. In Game 2, he managed 21 points and 15 rebounds. Across three playoff games, Hart has maintained averages of 21 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in 44.3 minutes.
