Following seven games without a loss in the 2024–25 campaign, PSG's winning run came to an end at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night when Mikel Arteta's Arsenal defeated them by two goals thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and England's sweetheart, Bukayo Saka.

Speaking only of Ligue 1, Les Parisiens are still on track for an undefeated season following five victories and one draw from their first six home games. This puts them atop the standings, level on points with Monaco in third place and Marseille in second.

Bradley Barcola, who has been leading PSG's goal scoring efforts since Mbappe left for Real Madrid in the summer, has scored six goals in as many Ligue 1 games this season despite only managing five goals in all competitions in 2023–24.

In addition, Joao Neves, a recent addition to Les Parisiens, deserves special recognition for his smooth integration into the midfield during the first few league games. With five assists in six league games, he completes a formidable engine-room trio that also includes French sensation Warren Zaire-Emery and Euro 2024 winner Fabian Ruiz.

PSG has recently had success traveling to the Allianz Riviera, having recently won back-to-back games at Nice's home field by an overall score of 4-1.

Seeking to bounce back from losses in Europe during the week, Nice will host Paris Saint-Germain in a Ligue 1 match at Allianz Riviera on Sunday night.

Les Aiglons were thrashed at the home of Lazio on Thursday night while on Tuesday Les Parisiens fell to a committed Arsenal side.

Having finished in the fifth position last term, 4 points adrift in the final Champions League qualification place Lille, Nice has had to take place in the Europa league during the season 2024/25 The home team has made a far from impressive start to their campaign in UEFA’s second tier club competition.

A goalless draw at Real Sociedad on the opening match day was a decent one but Thursday night saw Les Aiglons limp to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Lazio in a rainy Stadio Olimpico in Rome, thanks to a double from Valentin Castellanos.

The two Ligue 1 triumphs this term have come over the division’s bottom side in Angers and struggling Saint-Etienne, so Franck Haise’s side has failed to produce a proper victory in their initial eight games across all competitions.

Having said that, Les Aiglons must enter the game against the champions as confident as possible knowing that their performance at the Allianz Riviera has not been that bad in the 2024-25 season where the four-time Ligue 1 winners have not lost in three games in all competitions.

While leading goalscorer Moffi is set to be unavailable due to a cruciate ligament injury till early April Nice will need many of their other forwards to chip in with goals, players such as Evann Guessand, Moukoko and Boga all pose threats to PSG on Sunday.

Winger Gaetan Laborde, 30, is still out of commission for Nice; he is anticipated to be out until early November with a broken foot.

Additionally, Melvin Bard, a full-back who appeared in four Ligue 1 games this season before suffering a thigh injury, is not available for Les Aiglons.

Goncalo Ramos, a Portugal international who is the successor apparent to Cristiano Ronaldo, is sidelined for the time being as he recovers from an ankle injury.

Lucas Hernandez, who sustained a cruciate ligament injury in May during the Champions League semi-final loss to Borussia Dortmund, plans to play again in 2019.
