Wednesday's rescheduled Ligue 1 gameweek 32 match between Nice and Paris Saint-Germain takes place at Allianz Riviera. Nice is hoping to improve their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

With two straight league victories under their belt, the Eaglets want to hand PSG their first away defeat of 2023–24.

Nice's protracted Ligue 1 slump saw them drop from championship contenders to fifth place in the rankings, but in the closing weeks, Francesco Farioli's team seemed to have righted the ship.

For the bulk of 2024, the Eaglets were weakened by their two victories out of ten games (six defeats), and their strong defensive organization was replaced by goals conceded.

Since Nantes shocked them 2-1 at the end of March, Farioli's team has won three of their last five Ligue 1 games and has yet to lose. The fact that Nice with three clean sheets during that time frame matched their total from the previous slump highlights the team's improvement.

Les Aiglons, who visit PSG, are now one point behind fourth-place Brest going into the last gameweek of the campaign, which is away at third-place Lille.

Nice is far from favorites for a top-four finish due to the difficulty of their last two games, but they may take motivation from defeating Luis Enrique's team in the rematch in September if they want to close the gap with Brest to one.

Up until Sunday's 3-1 loss to Toulouse, which came only days after the team was eliminated from the Champions League by Borussia Dortmund, that game marked the Parisians' lone and only loss in Ligue 1 in months.

Although it was Kylian Mbappe's last home game for the team before his anticipated transfer to Real Madrid, Enrique's drastically altered starting lineup gave the World Cup-winning striker no favors.

Since PSG had already won the title, their final two Ligue 1 games mean very little, and the club's ultimate goal is to finish 23–24 and play Lyon in the Coupe de France final on May 25.

In their last games in the premier league, they intend to be competitive and look to build on their unbeaten road record, which has seen them win 11 and avoid losing in 15 games.

Enrique's team closes the season on the road against struggling Metz on Sunday, and it will be interesting to see whether they can hold off a determined Nice team at the Allianz Riviera. The league's only unbeaten away team faces what may be its final genuine challenge.
