When AC Milan hosts Lecce at San Siro on Friday night, they want to win three straight Serie A games after winning their derby last week.

Paulo Fonseca is under less pressure after the Rossoneri's victory against Inter Milan, their longtime rivals, as they now take on opponents who haven't won since August.

The opponents, Bochum, enter the match having drawn 2-2 with Holstein Kiel on September 21 to earn their first point of the year.

Peter Zeidler, the manager, will be happy that his team was able to snap a three-game losing streak in the league, but he will be frustrated that his team gave up an equalizer in the 89th minute after leading 2-1 at the half.

Zeidler's squad has had the fewest touches in the opposition box, produced the least amount of xG, and conceded the most xG out of the 18 teams in the top tier.

With eight points from five games thus far, Fonseca's team is currently sixth in the rankings following back-to-back league victories.

Milan takes on one of their favorite opponents in Serie A with the goal of making it three from three before a challenging Champions League assignment in Leverkusen the following week.

The last time the Rossoneri played Lecce, they won 3-0 and have not lost to them in 12 league games. Pulisic opened the scoring for the Rossoneri.

throughout fact, Lecce is attempting to win the first league encounter between the two clubs since April 2006; throughout that time, they have been defeated 29–12 by their counterparts from the other city.

Based on their current performance, there is little reason to believe that will change on Friday. Luca Gotti's team is looking for its first victory since August after losing to lower-tier opponents at home in the Coppa Italia midweek.

Even though Sassuolo is among the best teams in Serie B this year, Lecce's confidence was further damaged by their insipid 2-0 loss at Stadio Via del Mare. Prior to that, the team had recently given up two points against Parma.

Last week, goals from Nikola Krstovic and Patrick Dorgu had the Salentini on track for victory, but two goals conceded in stoppage time reversed the tide of the match, and their guests managed to rescue a draw.

Gotti and company had to deal with a cruel blow, as they did when they were eliminated from the cup, but they are at least undefeated in three Serie A games heading into their difficult journey to San Siro.
