Following their first-round victories, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev top their respective groups in the Red Group. Andrey Rublev was easily defeated 2-0 by Daniil Medvedev, and Carlos Alcaraz was defeated 2-1 by Alexander Zverev.

Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev will be looking for another significant victory to wrap up the group stage.

Although Daniil Medvedev is the favorite to advance quickly to the knockout stages, he faces an extremely difficult task in this match.

He defeated Andrey Rublev in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, to start the match. He scored three double faults and ten aces. In addition, he prevailed on 14 of 27 second serve points and 30 of 37 first serve points. He saved all seven breakpoints while participating in nine service games. With 12 wins, he finished the game with 75 points overall.

Because of his outstanding performance against Carols Alcaraz, Alex Zverev deserved the roses. He lost the opening set 7–6, but he bounced back, defeating Alcaraz 3-6 and 4-6 in the next two sets.

He had 16 aces and 2 double faults during the match. Additionally, he won 4 out of 7 second serve points and 66 out of 90 first serve points. In 16 service games, he prevented five out of six breakpoints. He also won eighteen games and a total of 100 points by the end of the game.

Given that Zverev and Medvedev have faced off in 19 matches, they are two extremely familiar opponents. However, in their head-to-head match, Alexander Zverev is behind Daniil Medvedev 7–11. Although he lost their most recent match at the ATP Beijing in October, he had already beaten Medvedev in their August match at the ATP Cincinnati, USA

This match between two well-known rivals should be highly interesting. Having defeated Zverev four times this season, Medvedev has the records on his side. Nevertheless, Zverev is no joke, and any opponent should take note after his matchup with Alcaraz. I predict that Medvedev will prevail in a three-set match between these two. This season, Medvedev is just not playable on hardcourts.
