On Tuesday, South Korea will host Jordan at Suwon World Cup Stadium in a key AFC World Cup Qualifying Group B clash.

The Taeguk Warriors enter the match aiming to extend their long unbeaten run, while Jordan looks to secure consecutive victories for the first time since June 2023.

Under Hong Myung-bo, South Korea remains undefeated in the qualifiers, with four wins and three draws in seven matches. However, their last two games ended in draws, including a 1-1 stalemate against Oman on Thursday. Hwang Hee-chan opened the scoring, but Ali Al Busaidi’s late equalizer denied them the win.

Despite the dropped points, South Korea still leads Group B with 15 points and has now gone 11 matches unbeaten since February 2024. With a strong home record—undefeated on their own soil since mid-2023—they’ll be confident of securing another victory. A win could extend their lead at the top to six points, depending on Iraq’s result against Palestine.

Meanwhile, Jordan, managed by Jamal Sellami, has been in solid form, sitting just three points behind South Korea. Their 3-1 victory over Palestine on Thursday kept them in second place with 12 points, though they are level with Iraq on points, only ahead on goal difference. With just one loss in their last eight matches, Jordan will be eager to challenge the group leaders and tighten the race for qualification.

The stage is set for an exciting encounter as both teams battle for crucial points in their World Cup qualifying campaign.
