When Juventus hosts Udinese at the Allianz Stadium on Monday, they will look to begin another undefeated run after their championship prospects were severely damaged in last week's Derby d'Italia.

After losing to Scudetto rivals Inter Milan, Juventus made their way back to Turin, but Monza kept the Friulani, who are known for their ability to draw, scoreless.Juventus' seven-match winning streak came to an end at the end of January as they dropped points for the first time this year in a 1-1 home draw with Empoli. Their first encounter of February then delivered only their second Serie A loss of the year.

Federico Gatti's own goal in the first half of the game clinched Inter's top-of-the-table Derby d'Italia at San Siro, giving the Nerazzurri a four-point lead. Since then, that benefit has increased to seven.

Thus, Juve have only managed one point from their previous two games after winning five straight league games and securing their spot in the Coppa Italia semifinals.
Due to his club's European suspension, head coach Max Allegri has been allowed to prioritize Serie A this season. He will now join Marcello Lippi on 405 games in charge of Juventus, tied for second place all-time after Giovanni Trapattoni (596).

But they have a massive challenge ahead of them to turn around Inter, so they need to win on Monday, especially when Juventus has been dominating Udinese for a while.

Not only have they won four straight league games without giving up a goal against their rival Bianconeri, but it has been almost eight years since Juventus last surrendered a point in this comparable match.
In addition to losing their season opener 3-0 at home to Juventus, Udinese had failed to win on all seven of their previous trips to the Allianz Stadium.

It is also unlikely that Gabriele Cioffi's underperforming team would pull off an upset this time around since they are unable to finish games off and earn the necessary points to move out of Serie A's drop zone.

The Friulani have drawn 13 times in the league this season, and only once in their top-flight history have they registered more at this point in a campaign—back in 1983—following last week's tie at home against Monza.
Udinese has wasted more points (15) than any other club in the last 15 minutes of play; Juventus, on the other hand, is one of just four teams that has not given up any, and as a result, they are in the thick of the fight to survive in Serie A.

With only two victories to their record thus far, the Bianconeri are heavy favorites to lose on Monday night. Their pitiful 19 points from 23 games equals their lowest total this century.
