Verona secured a crucial victory over Cagliari at Bentegodi, marking their first Serie A win in nearly four months. This triumph, which came after a 14-game league run without maximum points, helped them escape the relegation threat.

Marco Baroni's team, eager to conclude 2023 above the relegation zone, aims for consecutive home victories. Failing to do so could result in slipping back into the bottom three.

Having maintained an undefeated streak of three games at the Bentegodi (including two draws), Verona is determined to extend this sequence to four games on Saturday.
