The Rockets secured another triumph by delivering their best performance during critical situations as demonstrated in their victory against the Suns. The Rockets defeated Durant's team 119-111 by winning 35-19 in the fourth quarter which nearly reached the pregame -9.5 spread set by bookmakers.

The team continues its matchup sequence at the Toyota Center waiting for their first scheduled game against the Warriors in the upcoming Thursday 5 of the action.

Throughout the first half of the matchup between the Warriors and Mavericks the Dallas team maintained a minimum point advantage of 2.5 points despite the Warriors having 7.5-point pre-game favorites based on the Dallas team's key player absences of Doncic and Davis injured status.

The Warriors and Rockets face each other for the fourth time this season during their matchup. In their last contest on December 11 the Rockets ended the Warriors' more than eight-game winning streak against them through their 91-90 victory over Curry and his teammates in Houston.

The Golden State Warriors experienced a loss from their most recent contest. The Warriors faced defeat as they played a 111-107 loss while visiting American Airlines Center versus Dallas Mavericks. Stephen Curry reached 25 points in the game but Jimmy Butler scored 21 along with Gary Payton II achieving 14 points.

The Houston Rockets claimed victory through a 119-111 final score at home against their opponents. Houston Toyota Center hosted the victory which resulted in a double-win streak against Phoenix Suns.

Amen Thompson provided his team with a standout performance by securing 18 points combined with 11 assists and 10 rebounds for a triple-double. The Warriors have taken victory nine times while playing ten matches against their opponent.

As a home favorite against the Phoenix Suns, Houston moved to 34-20 on the season, well above many of the team's preseason projections. The Rockets were predicted by oddsmakers to win 44.5 games in the 2024–25 season.

On Thursday, Houston is favored at home against the Golden State Warriors, who are coming off a road loss to the Dallas Mavericks, their first defeat since Jimmy Butler's tenure. Butler finished the game with 21 points, but it wasn't enough to defeat a Dallas team that was missing several frontcourt players on Wednesday.
