Gibraltar vs San Marino

Gibraltar's second UEFA Nations League D match of 2024–25 will take place on Thursday when they host San Marino at Europa Point Stadium.

After a 2-2 draw with Liechtenstein on September 8, the home team is in second place with one point in their three-team group, while the away team leads with three points after one game after defeating the same opponent 1-0 on September 5.

Given that they had gained a 1-0 lead after eight minutes and a 2-1 lead in the 97th minute before giving up an equalizer in the 104th, Gibraltar will be frustrated that they were unable to win all three points against Liechtenstein.

The hosts fell 2-0 on aggregate to Lithuania in the relegation playoffs in March 2024 and finished last in their four-team League C group with one point from six games in the previous competition, which took place in 2022–2023.

Defendants Given that it was their first-ever competitive victory, San Marino will be ecstatic about their triumph over Liechtenstein.

Since their competitive debut in 1990, the visitors had not won a game, and they hadn't won a match since 2004, when they played 140 games, their most recent victory also occurring against Liechtenstein.

After his team's victory, manager Roberto Cevoli, who has only been in charge for six games, declared that leading the national team was always his destiny.

Despite losing 32 and drawing two of their previous 34 games, Cevoli's team has won one, drawn one, and lost three of their last five games.

San Marino has lost their previous eight away games and has only drew four of their 101 away games since December 1990. They have also lost none of their games during that time.
