Al-Nassr are eager to recover from a recent setback as they face Damac away on Tuesday in matchweek 29 of the Saudi Pro League.

The Knights of Najd hit a roadblock in their title pursuit after a 2-1 loss to Al Quadisiya last weekend, snapping their six-match unbeaten run across all competitions.

With three straight league wins under their belt and league leaders Al Ittihad stumbling against Al Fateh the previous day, Stefano Pioli’s side missed a prime chance to narrow the gap at the top.

Sadio Mane’s 84th-minute equalizer briefly revived hopes, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s quick response just three minutes later clinched the victory for Al Quadisiya, leaving Al-Nassr empty-handed and frustrated.

That defeat keeps the Riyadh-based team in third place with 57 points, trailing Al Ittihad by eight and now four points behind second-placed Al Hilal, putting their Champions League qualification hopes in jeopardy.

Sitting just one point ahead of fourth-placed Al Ahli, Al-Nassr know a failure to secure three points on Tuesday could see them slip further down the table. However, their dominant record of seven consecutive wins against Damac should boost their confidence.

The Yellow Sun have been resilient after losses, only once failing to win consecutive away league games this season, and they’ll be counting on that grit to shine through again.

With nine wins, three draws, and two losses on the road, Al-Nassr are the league’s top travelers, and their 30 away goals rank them second in attacking output on their travels.

On the other hand, Damac lifted their relegation battle prospects with a 3-1 win over Al Kholood, halting a two-game winless streak and securing just their second victory in 11 outings.

Nuno Almeida’s side had struggled to find the net, going scoreless in six of their prior eight matches, but a first-half double from Georges-Kevin N’Koudou via penalties gave them control, and Nicolae Stanciu’s goal sealed the win after Myziane Maolida briefly hinted at a comeback for the hosts early in the second half.

The Knights of the South scored three goals in a single game for the first time in eighteen games, moving them up to eleventh place in the standings with 31 points from eight victories, seven draws, and thirteen losses.

With six games remaining, Damac is five points clear of the relegation zone. They realize that every point counts at this time, but they need to improve their recent home performance, which has seen them lose three of their past five games—more than they had in the nine games prior.

The hosts will be eager to turn the odds in their favor on Tuesday after they have won five games, drawn four, and lost five on home field, scoring 18 goals and giving up 20.
