This weekend marks the highly anticipated Carabao Cup final showdown between two of English football's powerhouses, Chelsea and Liverpool.

While it hasn't been the season many had envisioned at Stamford Bridge, securing a piece of silverware would hold immense value for Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea strives to reclaim its former glory. The Blues last clinched the Carabao Cup in 2015, and despite reaching two finals since then, they fell short in penalty shootouts against Manchester City and Liverpool.

Liverpool, boasting an illustrious history in this competition, seeks to secure their record-breaking tenth Carabao Cup triumph on Sunday. Jurgen Klopp, eyeing a remarkable farewell from Anfield, aims to add to his legacy with a significant trophy haul, potentially including the Premier League title, FA Cup, or Europa League. Victory at Wembley would undoubtedly strengthen their bid for a memorable farewell under Klopp's stewardship.

The match between Chelsea and Liverpool is set for Sunday, February 25, 2024, with a 3pm GMT kick-off time, as requested by the Metropolitan Police. Originally scheduled for a 4:30pm start, Wembley Stadium in London will serve as the venue for this highly anticipated encounter.

When they met in the League Cup final in 2022, Liverpool and Chelsea had never played one another before.

Salah's present problem, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, is in the same region as his last hamstring strain.

Darwin Nunez was knocked out of the game against Brentford, therefore he did not play against Luton either. He's still not sure about his status for the final.

After sustaining a groin injury during the match against Crystal Palace, Thiago Silva is running out of time to recover in time for the championship.

Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, securing consecutive wins against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace before a commendable 1-1 draw against Manchester City away from home.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool remains in top form, leading the Premier League and winning their last three matches, during which they scored a total of 11 goals.
