Brooklyn Nets vs Indiana Pacers

After a season marked by inconsistent performances, the Indiana Pacers are showing significant improvement, with Pascal Siakam playing a key role in their resurgence. Currently sitting in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, Siakam has emerged as the team’s leading scorer in the 2024-25 season, averaging 21.1 points per game (PPG).

Since the All-Star break, Siakam has elevated his game even further, posting 22.4 PPG and an impressive 24 PPG in March—his strongest month of the season so far. The former Toronto Raptors star has also been on a hot streak, surpassing the Over in points in four consecutive games, with scoring outputs of 25, 27, 26, and 29 points.

In fact, over his last 10 games, Siakam has hit the Over in seven of them. His confidence is at an all-time high, and while he’s averaged around 16 PPG against the Brooklyn Nets this season, the Nets’ 24th-ranked defensive rating and their allowance of 21.3 PPG to power forwards suggest Siakam could thrive in this matchup.

Given his current form and rhythm, there’s little doubt Siakam will be a major factor as the Pacers aim for another victory. Betting on the Over seems like a confident and well-supported choice.

Andrew Nembhard plays a crucial role for the Pacers, having started 52 games while averaging 10.4 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game. Tonight, the spotlight will be on his playmaking abilities.

The Canadian guard has recorded more than 5.5 assists in just two of his last four outings. However, he stepped up on Wednesday, dishing out eight assists with Tyrese Haliburton sidelined due to back soreness.

With Haliburton’s status uncertain for tonight, Nembhard’s role as a facilitator could be significant once again. If Haliburton is unavailable, expect Nembhard to take on more playmaking duties, making the Over on his assists a strong pick. However, if Haliburton is in the lineup, betting on the Under for Nembhard’s assists may be the smarter move.

On the other hand, Nic Claxton is primarily known for his defensive presence rather than his scoring. He’s averaging 10.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game but has struggled offensively this month, managing just 9.2 points per contest.

Claxton has fallen short of his points total in seven of his last nine games and has only averaged 10 points in two previous matchups against the Pacers. Expect Indiana’s defense to keep him in check once again.
