The fight for the race lead in Austria was intensely close once more, but the championship standings have diverged further. Lando Norris had to withdraw from the race, whereas Max Verstappen managed to finish in the points even with a 10-second penalty.

Oliver Bearman will be joining Haas in 2025, which means another seat has been removed from the driver market. The 19-year-old British driver is presently competing in Formula Two for Prema Racing. He gained six points in his Formula One debut and is Haas' first confirmed driver for the upcoming season after Nico Hulkenberg left the team.

After holding the first race in 1948, it has played home to the British Grand Prix annually since 1987.

Four previous champions will compete in this week's Grand Prix in an attempt to earn another trophy. In the last two years, Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz have emerged victorious, although Lewis Hamilton has the record with eight victories. At last, Fernando Alonso has won twice, the most recent being in 2011.
