Bayern Munich vs Crvena Zvezda

The season success of Bayern Munich in the EuroLeague was a great surprise until the team collapsed at the final moments. The team missed their opportunity to enter the playoffs directly after losing two matches in succession in the last rounds. Bayern Munich finished their season at the ninth spot in the standings after falling short of nine points from reaching the playoffs position.

Their first opponent is Crvena Zvezda who will receive significant backing from their supporters at home. The Munich team suffered two defeats in the EuroLeague during their final rounds at the hands of Maccabi Tel Aviv (93-90) and Fenerbahce (89-77). They secured their temporary success by winning away at Oldenburg by 94-83.

The pressure became too intense after Bayern Munich delivered strong performance results throughout most of their season. Maccabi Tel Aviv bested Bayern in Belgrade as Carsen Edwards managed to score 35 points in the third period but it was not enough to secure a win. Carsen Edwards scored 59 points during the last two games but Bayern Munich still lost both matches.

Fenerbahce went into the lead 33-18 after the first quarter which proved to be the decisive moment of the match for the hosts. Devin Booker has made his comeback which puts him among the most talented big men on Bayern. For Crvena Zvezda they need Andreas Obst to increase his performance level and successfully contain his opponent's consistent three-point accuracy.

The European League final stage offered Crvena Zvezda the opportunity but they fell short of attaining the vital eighth position in the competition. Panathinaikos pulled off a comeback triumph with a tiebreaking score after Crvena Zvezda maintained an eight-point advantage with not much time remaining in their game in Athens. During the extended time Panathinaikos defeated their opponents 111-104.
