Bayern Munich could secure a spot in the Club World Cup’s round of 16 with a victory over Boca Juniors at Hard Rock Stadium in their second group stage match on Saturday morning.

The German side dominated their opening game on June 15, crushing Auckland City 10-0 to take the top spot in their group. Meanwhile, Boca Juniors sit third with one point after a 2-2 draw against Benfica on June 16.

Bayern kicked off the revamped Club World Cup with an easy win against part-time team Auckland City, leading 6-0 by halftime. The Bundesliga powerhouse faced just one shot in the 80th minute while generating 31 shots and seven clear scoring opportunities.

With 26 goals in their last six matches and five clean sheets in that span, Bayern are in top form. A win against Boca Juniors, combined with a Benfica draw against Auckland on Friday, would ensure Bayern’s advancement.

Bayern’s recent 10-0 thrashing extended their unbeaten run to eight games, with five wins in their last six. Boca Juniors, however, showed their potential by earning a draw against Benfica, despite letting a two-goal lead slip after early strikes from Miguel Merentiel and Rodrigo Andres Battaglia.
