Separated by just five points and occupying adjacent positions in the Turkish Super Lig standings, Alanyaspor and Besiktas are poised for a showdown at the Bahcesehir Okullari Arena this Sunday.

Alanyaspor currently holds the sixth spot with 49 points, whereas Besiktas sits slightly higher in fifth place with 54 points. Both teams remain in contention for a coveted top-four finish as the season draws to a close.

In their recent outing against Ankaragucu at the Eryaman Stadium, Alanyaspor salvaged a 1-1 draw with a dramatic 95th-minute penalty from Oguz Aydin, extending their unbeaten streak to three matches.

Under the stewardship of Fatih Tekke, Alanyaspor has steadily climbed the league ladder, now level on points with Konyaspor and Rizespor, who occupy seventh and eighth place, respectively.

The team from Alanya has been in impressive form, securing five wins, a draw, and suffering only one defeat, against league leaders Galatasaray, in their last seven fixtures. Despite trailing fourth-placed Istanbul Basaksehir by six points with three games remaining, Alanyaspor remains optimistic about their chances.

Heading into the clash with Besiktas, Alanyaspor aims to maintain their momentum. Particularly formidable at home, Tekke's side has triumphed in three of their last four matches at their home ground, including a resounding 6-0 victory over Istanbulspor in their latest encounter.

Besiktas, on the other hand, recognizes the significance of a positive result against Alanyaspor. With two of their remaining three matches against lower-ranked opponents, a victory over the Black Eagles could significantly bolster their aspirations for a top-four finish.

Moreover, Alanyaspor harbors an opportunity to achieve a rare feat, as they seek to secure a double over Besiktas, having emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline in their previous encounter.

Furkan Bayir, who was sent off in the tie with Ankaragucu for a second bookable offense, will not play for Alanyaspor.

For the Alanya team, Ahmed Hassan is predicted to lead the line once more while Efecan Karaca offers assistance.

For this match, the opposition may be without up to five players, giving Santos few choices.

Amir Hadziahmetovic had a cruciate ligament injury in January, which will keep him out of action for the rest of the campaign.
