The Turkish Super Lig is set to resume action with an exciting lineup of matches, featuring a clash between Galatasaray and Ankaragucu at the scenic RAMS Park, scheduled for the upcoming Saturday.

Okan Buruk's squad is approaching this weekend's fixture with an impressive streak, having gone undefeated in their last 13 matches across various competitions. Their aim? To maintain this formidable momentum.

In their most recent outing, Galatasaray continued their exceptional performance with a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over a resilient Istanbulspor team on a Tuesday. This victory solidified their remarkable run, with Galatasaray emerging victorious in all but one of their last nine matches across a range of competitions. The sole exception was a 2-2 draw against Copenhagen in their Champions League Group A opener, which took place on September 20.

Currently occupying the second position in the Super Lig standings, Galatasaray boasts an impressive 16 points from six matches, positioning them just two points behind the league leaders, Fenerbahce.

On the other side of the pitch, Ankaragucu had their hopes of consecutive victories dashed for the first time this season when they settled for a 1-1 draw against Konyaspor in their last Sunday fixture. However, before that, Tolunay Kafkas' squad secured their first win of the season with a convincing 3-1 victory over Sivasspor on September 18, effectively bringing an end to their four-game winless streak.

Presently, Ankaragucu finds itself in the 12th spot in the Super Lig standings, having accumulated six points out of a potential 18. Nevertheless, a successful weekend performance could propel them up the table, potentially allowing them to level with the seventh-placed Trabzonspor should they secure all three points.

In summary, as the Turkish Super Lig resumes its action, football enthusiasts can anticipate an intense showdown between Galatasaray and Ankaragucu at RAMS Park. The former, riding high on an impressive unbeaten streak, is determined to continue their dominance, while the latter, eager to recapture their winning form, eyes the opportunity to climb up the league standings.

At the Mandemakers Stadion on Saturday night, RKC Waalwijk and Ajax will play in the most recent round of Eredivisie games.

After a rocky start to the season, the hosts are in 13th place going into the game while the guests are down in 14th.
Waalwijk had a terrible start to the Eredivisie season, losing their first four games while giving up a whopping 14 goals, with at least three allowed in each game.

However, it should be mentioned that RKC had a challenging start to the campaign, going up against teams like AZ Alkmaar and PSV Eindhoven, who are currently in first and second place in the Eredivisie, respectively. Since then, though, they have performed admirably.

Henk Fraser's team put on a commanding display away at Vitesse, recording nine shots on goal and winning 2-0. They have now won their past two games in a row without giving up a goal.

When Waalwijk played FC Twente at home last, they left it late, but Filip Stevanovic came up with the game's lone goal in the 89th minute, lifting his team out of the bottom three.

RKC should be optimistic going into the match on Saturday based on recent performances, but that cannot be said of their opponents who have had a very challenging season thus far.

Ajax supporters anticipate their team to compete at the top of the Eredivisie standings every season, but with just five points from their first five games, they appear to be some distance from being title candidates.

In their most recent game, Maurice Steijn's team fell to Feyenoord 4-0 at home. The game was eventually finished on Wednesday night after being called off on Sunday owing to crowd unrest.

The Sons of the Gods lost on Wednesday, ending a streak of five games without a victory across all competitions. They haven't triumphed in the Eredivisie since defeating Heracles 4-1 on the first day of the season at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

The lone accomplishment for Ajax thus far this season is their ability to qualify for the Europa League by defeating Ludogorets 4-2 on aggregate, but they blew a two-goal lead against Marseille in their first group-stage match, drawing 3-3.

Although the club from Amsterdam has had a turbulent few weeks, they have a strong record against Waalwijk, having won the last 10 meetings between the two teams, and they will be trying to turn things around this weekend.

Fraser might not want to make any changes to a winning team against Waalwijk, so it wouldn't be shocking if he kept the most of the starting lineup from last weekend. However, Stefanovic, who entered the game in the 72nd minute and scored the game-winning goal, had a significant impact on it. As a result, the 21-year-old might start on the left wing instead of Zakaria Bakkali.

The fact that several members of Ajax's first team are out with injuries has not helped their season-opening performance, and Sivert Mannsverk is expected to miss out due to a leg ailment.

Jay Gorter is expected to preserve his spot in goal because Geronimo Rulli's shoulder issue is still bothering him, while Devyne Rensch might move to right back because Anton Gaaei was benched early after a poor performance against Feyenoord.

On Saturday, September 30, struggling Ajax travels to the Mandemakers Stadion to take on Waalwijk in the Eredivisie, seeking only their second victory of the year.

The 2023–24 season has gotten off to a terrible start for Ajax, who started with a 4–1 victory over Heracles but have since lost their way. Following consecutive draws with Excelsior and Fortuna Sittard, they suffered back-to-back losses to Twente and Feyenoord, who previously humiliated them 4-0.

Only Vitesse (3), Utrecht (3), Volendam (1), and Almere (1) fare worse than De Godenzonen, who are down in 14th place in the Eredivisie with five points from as many games.
