Udinese will be hosting Empoli in a vital match on Sunday, aiming for a victory that would ensure their survival in Serie A.

Having accumulated five points from their last three matches, Udinese have a chance to avoid relegation by defeating Empoli, who are only one point behind them in the league table.

With just two games remaining in the season, Udinese have the opportunity to control their fate, following their recent 2-0 win against Lecce.

Lecce, the home team in Monday's match, only needed a single point to secure their own safety. However, goals from Lorenzo Lucca and Lazar Samardzic enabled Udinese to climb out of the relegation zone.

Fans of the Fruilani have celebrated two late goals in as many weeks, after their team has suffered so much due to a string of goals given up in the closing minutes.

The last games Udinese has are against clubs fighting for survival, and it appears that newly hired coach Fabio has begun to turn things around.
