Ipswich Town travels to the New York Stadium to take on Rotherham United with the knowledge that a win will move them atop the Championship standings.

In stark contrast, Rotherham enters this match four points outside of safety and in need of only their second league victory of the year.Given that Ipswich did not receive promotion back to the Championship earlier this year, the majority of their supporters will understandably anticipate that their team's performance will deteriorate at some point.

There is cause for optimism, nevertheless, as six victories and one tie were recorded in all competitions following the season's first international break.

The Tractor Boys had to perform against Blackburn Rovers, Hull City, and Preston North End despite playing three of their last four Championship games at Portman Road.

Ipswich presently leads the division in attacking efficiency after scoring 10 goals in those three games, but Kieran McKenna recognizes that there is still room for growth when they are traveling.

Since then, the Millers have lost four of their previous six league games, scored just once in each game, and failed to win any of those contests.

But Matt Taylor's team entered the mandatory break on a positive note after earning a 1-1 draw against Southampton, a result that at the very least maintained them within striking distance of the 21st-place and higher position.
