On Thursday the NBA action will see the Washington Wizards take on the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. Sixers is currently 14-20 ranked the 11th in Eastern Conference while the Wizards are currently 6-28 ranked the 15th in the Eastern Conference.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been one of the biggest disappointments this year and they come into this match after a 109-99 loss at home to the inconsistent Suns on Tuesday.

Maxey scored 31 and Oubre Jr just 26, but the team shot a measly 39% from the floor and allowed 67 second-half points.

The Sixers rank 24th in the league in points per game this season at 107.4, despite improving on the defensive end and allowing 110.7 PPG (11th).

However, the Washington Wizards have been hapless all through the season and extended their tally of loses to 28 in 34 games last night after a 135-112 home thrashing at the hands of the Rockets .

Kispert was the leading shooter scoring 23 points. Washington had their shooting stroke going by connecting on 46% on the field goal attempts and 15 of forty from the three point arc but could not come up with a fight at half time and would never be able to mount any kind of challenge for victory.

The Wizards sit 24th in terms of points with an average of 109.0 PPG while they are last in the efficiency defense allowing 122.2 PPG.
Philadelphia does not allow a lot of points per game but that primarily is because they slow the game right down. The 76ers do not allow teams to get a lot of shots off in their field as they want it to be. More importantly, their strategy is to utilise the shot clock and ensure that the corresponding team also does so. Nevertheless, the third-highest field goal percentage is allowed in Philadelphia to teams. What Washington just needs to do is make their shots.

Due to an injury sustained during Tuesday's game, Kyle Kuzma's availability for Wednesday is questionable. Jordan Poole is the top scorer and is in good health. He shoots more than 40 percent from beyond the arc and averages 21.8 points per game. On Wednesday, Poole will have to take charge of the group. It will mostly depend on if Poole can have a solid game, however some role players can create a lot of noise. The Wizards will play well if he plays well.

The Wizards are the worst defensive team in the NBA. They allow the most points per game in the NBA, and teams shoot a high percentage against them. Philadelphia could be without Joel Embiid as he missed practice on Tuesday, but they should still be able to put up some points. Tyrese Maxey scores 25.4 points per game, which leads the team.

Even without Embiid and Paul George, the 76ers will be able to put up some points Wednesday night. Along with their rough defensive play, the Wizards are not great on the offensive side of the floor. Washington scores the seventh-fewest points in the NBA, they have the fourth-lowest field goal percentage, and third-lowest three-point percentage. The Wizards try to pick up the pace on offense, but they struggle to make shots. Philadelphia allows the 10th-lowest points per game this season, so do not expect the Wizards to have a lot of success in this game.

The 76ers struggle to score points. Even with Joel Embiid on the court, they have had a difficult season. Philadelphia has the third-lowest scoring average in the NBA at 107.4 per game. Philadelphia simply lacks the shooting ability to win games on a regular basis. Washington can also use the fact that the 76ers will not have Paul George or Joel Embiid for this matchup. The 76ers can win this game if they can play defense a little bit better on Wednesday night.

In addition to their poor defensive performance, the Wizards struggle offensively. Washington has the fourth-lowest field goal %, the third-lowest three-point percentage, and the seventh-lowest point total in the NBA. The Wizards attempt to increase their offensive pace but have trouble making baskets. The Wizards won't have much success in this game because Philadelphia gives up the 10th-lowest number of points per game this season.
