The Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls are set to face each other on Thursday in a match that will be of importance in helping at least one of them post back-to-back victories for only the second time this season.

The home side comes into this one having only just scraped past the Houston Rockets in their most recent match up while the away side blew past the Detroit Pistons.

Few could have predicted that Milwaukee Bucks would get off to a poor start in the season, but the 2021 NBA champions facing the Rockets on Tuesday had won just four and lost more than twice that number, nine.

The team was on the verge of falling to a 4-10 record before an outstanding 7-0 run in the last 2 minutes that saw Damian Lillard sink the game-winner against Doc Rivers’s men.

That was sweet victory for the Bucks having been on the receiving end of some close calls recently and in their most recent game of Sunday they lost to Charlotte Hornets 115-114 in a match that saw LaMelo Ball score the winning shot form the stripe.

But Tuesday’s match up saw the Bucks surrender one of their third worst defensive performances this season after previously posting one of the league’s best Defensive ratings by limiting the Toronto Raptors and the Utah Jazz to 85 and 100 points respectively.

Ahead of this is the aspect of playing opposite an outfit that has won the last two out of the three most recent games between them, including a 133-122 blowout on October 26.

In this game, New Orleans must make their shots. They will have to do that even though they aren't known for it this season. It should not be shocking to remember that the Cavaliers are coming off a difficult defensive performance against the Boston Celtics. The third-highest 3-point shooting percentage in the NBA, 37.8 percent, is allowed by Cleveland to its opponents. The Pelicans can win if they can make their shots.

In addition, the Cavaliers play a strong defense. Teams only shoot 45.9 percent off him, and they have given up 111.4 points per game. The Cavaliers also do a fantastic job of avoiding foul trouble.

Thursday's hosts will now want to get the victory in front of their supporters once more and continue their ascent up the table after a sluggish start to the season in the second of four home games.

The Chicago Bulls traveled to the Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday to play the Detroit Pistons, who are on the rise, after suffering their worst loss of the season against the Rockets.

LaVine's incredible fourth-quarter performance, which resulted in 18 points on 6-8 shooting from outside the arc, helped Donovan's team launch into an eight-point lead at the half and then repel a late surge with a 27-17 run in the last eight minutes.

Following a 144-126 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the beginning of November, the Bulls have now won three of their last four away games after dropping back-to-back away games against the Brooklyn Nets and the Dallas Mavericks.

With just under 20% of the regular season left, the Bulls are now in ninth place in the East, only three victories behind the Orlando Magic in third place in what is expected to be a very competitive conference.

The Washington Wizards (124.7) currently lead the league in points allowed per game (122.9), so Thursday's visitors will need to improve their defense if they are to make a serious run at making it back to the postseason.

The point guard is anticipated to play in Thursday's game after making the game-winning basket for the Bucks last time out after resuming his activities following a concussion protocol.

Ryan Rollins (shoulder) and Khris Middleton (ankle) will not be available for the home team, though the latter is somewhat closer to returning.

Lonzo Ball, 27, will have another evaluation in a week to determine whether he is ready to play in games as he continues to struggle with a wrist ailment.
