Milano won the home game against Alba Berlin on Tuesday with a score 100-68, and in Euro League have 12 wins and 9 defeats. Coaches 'team currently sits as a play-in team on the table and can only advance even higher with a victory at a Thursday’s game against Partizan before their home crowd in the Unipol Forum. The team players are really in good health, and are almost impossible to lockdown at the moment.

The effectiveness of a basketball coach depends with how adapt he or she is to any given circumstances and get the best out of the players. Last seasons head coach Ettore Messina, who dictated strict defensive play and often created one of the league’s best defensive teams, has switched almost completely this year. Messina has acknowledged good things about the roster and gets it in ways that fit his coaching style.

In this season Milano performs at a higher tactical tempo when compared to last year, averaging 87.7 points per game, which leads the competition, and an outstanding offensive rating of 121.0. We count much on the three-point shot, and that is led by frontcourt players Nikola Mirotic and Zach LeDay. Neither is a traditional center, but they do a nice job of making up for it and continuously passing the ball to the floor.

Milano has five players that are willing to hit consecutive three-point shots, something that has proven successful than the two past seasons. Shavon Shields has played few games since coming back from an injury that sidelined him for almost two months and Leandro Bolmaro is the team’s main ball handler for most of the time.

Although it is successful in the beginning there are a some weaknesses, such as his opponents are able to predict that he will go for a shot but he doesn’t shoot very accurately. Further, Nico Mannion and Nenad Dimitrijevic are always able to hit key shots from the field.

It is even more remarkable, that Partizan was short without three primary backcourt contributors. This is a big set back to the team since Duane Washington, Frank Ntilikina, and Vanja Marinkovic did not travel to this double week road trip. Even though several players were missing from the roster, Zeljko Obradovic’s team came out on top on Tuesday night.

Sterling Brown was spot on when in form in this set which Saweetie complained was her first time in a while. However, Jones, this cornerstone for the team, has not been as fluid in his movements as before.” He is capable of generating very fresh points with just one or two moves and the man obviously requires a good game to remind people why they hold him in high esteem.

With the arrival of Iffe Lundberg SES, there was an added dimension to the team work in the offensice players. He was among the brightest stars of the game in Villeurbanne and a pair of three-point shooting to lead by three points towards the final moments of the first half. Brandon Davies perhaps scored his highest in the game, and demonstrated good hustle and contagiously energetic defense on both ends, a positive sign for both, coach Obradovic and the fans of Partizan.

Tyrique Jones continues to be a factor in the paint when left open, and they will need him in that aspect during the Italia Cup as well. With less time available Partizan will have to get a lot from the bench and players such as Arijan Lakic and Balsa Koprivica were productive in their minutes on Tuesday.

Partizan’s target is to finish in the top ten in the EuroLeague, which would really be helped with a win on the road against Milan. For success, they require the best from Brown and Lundberg and both Jones, besides demonstrating great offence and defence. All four will most assuredly compile sizable minute totals, and if they can stay out of foul’s way, Partizan will no doubt have something to say about it, particularly if the Raptors allow them to play at their pace of choice.
