Kosovo, riding high on a wave of strong performances, will face Comoros in a friendly match at Fadil Vokrri Stadium on Monday as they gear up for their World Cup qualifiers in September.

The Dardanet are aiming to stretch their winning streak to five games, while Les Coelacantes are chasing a third straight victory.

Under Franco Foda’s leadership, Kosovo are in top form, having secured victories in seven of their last eight matches, making them strong favorites to maintain their momentum. Their recent 5-2 comeback win against Armenia on Friday showcased their resilience, with the team rallying from two first-half deficits.

This followed their promotion to Nations League B in March, highlighted by a 5-2 aggregate triumph over Iceland, where Vedat Muriqi’s hat-trick in the second leg sealed the deal.

With an impressive home record—four consecutive wins and only two losses as the nominal home side since June 2022—Kosovo are poised for another victory as they prepare for the upcoming qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Comoros, managed by Stefano Cusin, have regained their footing after a three-game losing streak earlier this year. They head into this match with consecutive wins, including a 1-0 victory over Zambia in the COSAFA Cup on Friday, thanks to Ibrahim Madi’s goal just past the 30-minute mark.

That result followed a 1-0 win against Chad in a March World Cup qualifier, which lifted them to second in Group I, three points behind leaders Ghana.

With a solid away record of five wins, one draw, and one loss over the past year, Comoros are quietly optimistic about challenging their hosts. A third consecutive victory could erase memories of their early 2025 struggles and boost their confidence for a World Cup finals berth.
