This followed their promotion to Nations League B in March, highlighted by a 5-2 aggregate triumph over Iceland, where Vedat Muriqi’s hat-trick in the second leg sealed the deal.

With an impressive home record—four consecutive wins and only two losses as the nominal home side since June 2022—Kosovo are poised for another victory as they prepare for the upcoming qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Comoros, managed by Stefano Cusin, have regained their footing after a three-game losing streak earlier this year. They head into this match with consecutive wins, including a 1-0 victory over Zambia in the COSAFA Cup on Friday, thanks to Ibrahim Madi’s goal just past the 30-minute mark.

That result followed a 1-0 win against Chad in a March World Cup qualifier, which lifted them to second in Group I, three points behind leaders Ghana.

With a solid away record of five wins, one draw, and one loss over the past year, Comoros are quietly optimistic about challenging their hosts. A third consecutive victory could erase memories of their early 2025 struggles and boost their confidence for a World Cup finals berth.
