Although Burundi's last international was lacking in a number of experienced players, head coach Etienne Ndayiragije should have much more options to choose from with the return of Christophe Nduwarugira, Frédéric Nsabiyumva, Rashid Léon Harerimana, Shassiri Nahimana, Hussein Shabani, and Cédric Amissi.

We are content with a Kenyan victory of 2-1 over Burundi in our forecast. In group F, both teams have played two games; they have won one and lost the other against Gabon by the same score of 2-1. However, Kenya played both games away from home, whereas Burundi played both at home. Kenya, who has won both of their friendly matches this year, will host their first home match in the qualifying round against Burundi. They appear to be in strong condition.

In this group F match between Kenya and Burundi, our second prediction is over 1.5 goals. Goals have been scored in both of the Kenyan and Burundian matches thus far in this qualifying series; eight goals each were scored in the two Kenyan games and eight goals each in the two Burundian games. Burundi has scored four goals and given up four goals in their first two games, good for three points and fourth position in the standings. Burundi, who have lost all of their friendlies this year, is not in great form, so they will be cautious about the potential consequences of losing this game.
