The Detroit Pistons are really cooking, winning 10 out of the last 12 Games. Their last match saw them conquer the Knicks in Gotham with a scoreline of 124-119.

This is a team that was the NBA’s worst a year ago with a very poor record of only 14 wins. However, they will reach the middle of the season in this year with 21 to 19 wins regardless of the results in the Indiana Pacers.

The Pistons are averaging 115.8 points per game to boot a solid field goal shooting average of 48.5% while splashing threes at a rate of 39.4%.

The Pacers were also on the roll, they had five consecutive wins including a 15-point demolition of the East leading Cleveland Cavaliers. But the good fortunes were not to last until the next game where Cleveland avenged the loss in the rematch.

That is a significant component of the Indy offense. Haliburton is the second highest scorer in the team with an average of 18.1 points per game and 8.8 assists per game placing him fourth in the NBA.

A new addition to the list of players that can be sidelined is wing Aaron Nesmith, who also sat out the Pacers’ previous match against Cleveland. Both Nesmith and Haliburton are currently listed as questionable.

In the last match-up in the season between the two teams, Detroit triumphed with a 130-106 victory to finally end a five-game losing streak against the Pacers. Indiana was able to successfully secure the first encounter earlier this year in Indiana with a 115-109 score.

The Pacers were even on a four-game road winning streak, however, Haliburton is still going to be far from being 100% even if he is going to play again. That would make Cunnigham the best player on the floor he averages 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists per game.

Add to that, Detroit has been a very good home team recently, boasting of a 5-1 record in their past six home games, and the team is also 6-2-0 straight-up as a home favorite in the season.

Tyrese Haliburton, an All-Star guard, was sidelined for the rematch due to a hamstring issue, which was noteworthy. He could miss his second consecutive game when Indy travels to Motown because of that condition.
For the fourth time in his last six games, Cunningham scored thirty-two points or more against the Knicks. Since wing Jaden Ivey, the team's second-leading scorer, is sidelined indefinitely due to a fractured leg, he has had to up his scoring recently.

In all of their prior meetings, Cunningham has been within his projected 25.5-point total for Thursday. He missed the Over by a bucket in the victory on November 29 and went for 28 in the defeat on October 23.

The Detroit Pistons, who have been among the NBA's most dominant teams in recent weeks, defeated the Knicks 124-119 on Tuesday to record their eighth victory in ten games.

While Detroit shot 50% from the field and made 15 of 34 from beyond the arc, Cade Cunningham had an outstanding effort with 36 points on 14 of 27 shooting.

The Pistons are currently allowing 113.9 points per game (16th in the NBA) and averaging 112.4 points per game (15th in the league).

The Pacers, meanwhile, have also been playing well lately, winning seven of their previous ten games. However, they will be hoping to get back to winning ways after losing to the Cavaliers 127-117 in the middle of the week.
