The Bluebirds will travel to the MKM Stadium to face Hull City on Saturday in just their first match since the departure of Erol Bulut.

The former boss was dismissed on Sunday and, at the time, the Bluebirds were rooted to the bottom of the Championship table having only one point to their name; the hosts, on the other hand, achieved their first league win of the season just prior to the season coming to a halt and found themselves ranked 16th last time out.

Hull City will be back in Championship action on Saturday when they seek to register their second consecutive victory in as many games under the new alerted manager Tim Walter.

With an intention to launch another playoff challenge under their new master, the Tigers started by drawing the first three games in the new third tier England Football League and such a start stretched to five league games barren run.

The Leeds United game before the international break was lost 2-0 at Elland Road, then in September, Walter’s men lost to Sheffield United, 0-2 with Gustavo Hamer and Sam McCallum scoring goals for their team in the first and second half.

The political pressure was mounting for MKM Stadium when the most recent of their fixtures was Stoke City on the Friday and they clinched a first victory under the German director for the time after going to the ground at the hour mark, let alone Kasey Palmer equalising a saved penalty and Regan Slater’s putting the Tigers ahead in the 77th minute not to mention Ben Wilmot sealing the victory.

Sustained by that first three-point haul, certain to be relieved by, which has taken the Tigers up to 16th place at this stage of the Championship term, Hull City will now look forward to writing Walter’s story with the team by achieving a second successive victory come Saturday.

They encounter a visiting team that is being led temporarily after Erol Bulut's departure on Saturday.

Cardiff City was at the bottom of the Championship table with only one point from their first six games when Bulut was sent off this past weekend, after leading the Welsh team to a 12th-place finish the previous time around.

August's 1-1 draw with rival Swansea City earned the Bluebirds one point, but since then, they have lost three consecutive league games and four in all competitions. Earlier in the season, they lost 2-0 to Middlesbrough in the second division and 5-3 to Southampton in the EFL Cup.

Following their Saturday results of losing 1-0 away to Derby County and losing 2-0 at home to Leeds United, where the visitors' goals came from Largie Ramazani and Joel Piroe following Joel Bagan's early red card, the club hierarchy decided to make a change on Sunday, appointing Omer Riza as interim manager.

Cardiff City travels to Yorkshire in quest of their first Championship win of the season at the seventh attempt, anxious to stop their miserable start to the campaign.

Charlie Hughes, Ryan Longman, and Dogukan Sinik are still out of the running for the starting lineup that Hull City used to defeat Stoke City last time out, therefore Tim Walter should stick with that lineup.

However, Liam Millar and Regan Slater made a good case for starting positions with their performances in that game as substitutes, and Millar may receive opportunities right away, seeking to play with Chris Bedia in a front three.

Slater, on the other hand, may go into the engine room with Kasey Palmer and Oscar Zambrano, while Sean McLoughlin and Alfie Jones will undoubtedly stay together at center back.
