Houston Rockets trailed for most of the match due to a slow start they gave themselves a fact that they could not claw their there way back into the match losing 101-100 to the Bucks last game. That was the second-lowest point output this year for Houston which scores an average of 113.6 points per game and is in the middle in the league.

Houston managed to remain in the mix since its defense which ranks third in scoring is only allowing 105.7 points per game. The Rockets were able to force 16 turnovers from Milwaukee and turned those into 24 points.

At the same time, the team, which had a record of the best results in the NBA in terms of the number of offensive rebounds, started working, taking 16 such rebounds, thus adding 17 more successful attempts in shots from the field. That will be a hard nut to crack for the Indiana Pacers that fall in the Bottom-8 category in offensive rebounds, permitted under 12 in each game.

They gave up the boards last game in Toronto, the first of three games on the road, and were beaten by a team that was coming off its seventh straight loss at 130-119. That is the second-highest total that the Pacers have given up all season long, as the team’s defense also ranks at 25th in the league with 117.6 points allowed.

The Pacers average about a point more than the Rockets at 114.4 points per game, but they are in the top 10 of the league on FG% and 3PT FG%.

To be precise, Indiana is operating at the Rockets’ expense at the moment, defeating the latter nine times in a row while also going 6-2-2 ATS against Houston within the last 10.

In this one, injuries may well be involved. Houston Rockets’ Jalen Green (illness) and Cam Whitmore (knee) are already listed as questionable. Meanwhile, opposing Indiana perimeter guys Andrew Nembhard (knee) and Aaron Nesmith (ankle) are out while the big man Myles Turner (calf) is questionable.

The Rockets, who are 6-2 on the season, are the superior club and will perform better at home. But it's a huge boost for Indiana to have a chance to bounce back against a club they had a lot of success against after the more humiliating loss.

Before Damian Lillard made the game-winning basket with three seconds remaining, Houston closed a 14-point deficit thanks to 20+ points from Fred VanVleet and Jalen Green.

The Rockets are in the top three defensively, giving up just 105.7 points per game, despite their average of 113.6 points per game this season, which ranks them 15th in the league.

The team's biggest problem was defense, as they gave up 69 points in the first half and had to chase the game after that. Bennedict Mathurin scored 28 points, and Pascal Siakam contributed 25.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers lost to the Toronto Raptors 130-119 on the road Tuesday, their fourth setback in the previous six games.
