On Thursday night, Ghana will play Sudan in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The visitors are looking to bounce back from their most recent loss, while the Black Stars have yet to record a win in this qualifying campaign.

The Black Stars' first Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign ended in a 1-0 loss to Angola, ending their 24-year winning streak at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. Their second game ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw with Niger.

Alidu Seidu gave Ghana the lead shortly before halftime, but despite controlling the game, they were unable to maintain their lead, and in the end, Niger equalized through Oumar Sako in the 81st minute.

On Thursday night, Ghana will play Sudan in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The visitors are looking to bounce back from their most recent loss, while the Black Stars have yet to record a win in this qualifying campaign.

In their second match of the qualification campaign, Sudan lost 2-1 to Angola after defeating Niger 1-0 in their Group F curtain-raiser.

The loss put an end to the Falcons of Jediane's four-game winning streak in competitive play, which included wins over South Sudan, Mauritania, and Congo DR during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying round.

With three points, James Kwesi Appiah's team is now in second place in the group and in a strong position going into this doubleheader against Ghana.

Before losing to Angola in their most recent game, Sudan had won two straight away games in the World Cup qualifying tournament, against South Sudan and Mauritania.

The Falcons of Jediane, under the direction of former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah, would like to improve on the goalless draw they suffered away to Ghana in an AFCON qualifying game in 2010.
