The USA once again emerged the winner by 87-74 against Belgium and the team was now on a winning streak of 2 games. At first, it was 23-23 for first before it later went to 46-38 when it led at halftime. Breanna Stewart scored the highest number of goals that comprise 26 points and was shooting 8 successful field goals out of 14 attempts, 1 three point field goal out of 4 attempts, and free throws of 9 out of 10 attempts.

On the other hand, A’ja Wilson contributed 23 points, inclusive of 13 rebounds with a field goal percentage of 9 of 17. The Americans allowed only 44 points to the Belgians. 6 percent from the field, including 35 percent of three-point attempts which ranks eighth in the league. 7 per cent on average from the triples.

Similarly, they managed a paltry 41 points when playing against Belgium. based on the hardwood, it has been reduced to 4 percent with 18. 5 percent from the three-point line Shaw and Sperry state that self-esteem is an essential element in achievement motivation which comprises of 95 percent shooting overall and 5 percent from the three-point line. The US led on the boards where the team controlled 48 rebounds while the rivals managed 28.

Also, they were able to commit eight steals that resulted in 12 turnovers by their counterparts. The Americans were also unglamorous; they lost balls 16 times. To an extent, Germany have been impressive in the two matches in the group stages that they have played so far. But they have not been up against a side like the US before and that could cause some issues if they persist in the same vein for the shooting.

This is why they need their strongest team to perform at its best or as good as it can be. As seen in the last game, Sabally has to produce the same form again. Additionally, she also requires some sort of assistance from her co-workers. Sabally was also a good performer because of her shooting while the other colleagues shot badly. If the Germans fail to make the ball, they will be left far behind in the shortend and it will not be any good to them.

The Germans also must win the board battle and this can only be achieved if they manage to construct stronger boards than those of other competitors. Crazy thing is they outrebounded them on the boards. But they have not material with a team like the Americans who are in the elite level at this year’s championship. This is where Sabally needs to be the leader and motivate herself and everyone else to perform better. Peterson and Geiselsoder must bring more of themselves for the chances to be leveled for Germany.

Germany improved to 2-0 in the group stage with a 75-64 victory over Japan. After the first quarter, their lead was 21-16, and at the half, it was 42-36. Germany hung on and the rest of the way was ultimately a defensive struggle. With 33 points, the eighth-highest point total in Olympic history for women's basketball, and six rebounds, Satou Sabully created history.

Despite only shooting 2 of 13 shots, Alexis Peterson contributed 11 points. She attempted six free throws and made them all. Luisa Geiselsoder shot 3 for 10 and finished with 10 points. The boards were dominated by Germany 48–34. They also had six thefts, which contributed to their 16 turnovers forced. Their main shortcoming was their own carelessness, as they made 17 mistakes, which is unacceptable while playing the USA.

The Americans appear to be in complete control. But because they started to have trouble shooting the hoop, they were unable to cover the spread in their most recent game. However, they also played strong defense to effectively refute that.

Wilson and Stewart have been outstanding, and they still serve as role models for the ladies. Even though Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are still heralded by the WNBA as the future of women's basketball, these two have performed admirably while playing for the United States. They have done well thus far, overcoming every challenge.

However, one could only criticize the Americans for being careless. Even while it hasn't yet damaged them, it might yet be a hindrance. The problem of turning the ball over persists. To keep this game from getting too close, they must thus find a means to overcome these obstacles. Both teams struggle with ball control, and the Americans need to address every one of these problems.

If Stewart and Wilson are able to maintain their high level of performance, the USA will cover the spread. Then, in order to deny Germany a chance, they must control the boards.
