The clean-sheet specialists of Juventus will look to maintain their record of starting the season without a loss on Saturday when they travel to Stadio Luigi Ferraris to take on Genoa.

Juve are the only team in all five European leagues which have not let in a league goal this season their host were defeated in Serie A last week and lost a Coppa Italia derby.

After a pedestrian 0-0 draw against a Napoli team whose coach was once a Juventus employee in Antonio Conte last weekend, Juventus have failed to score more than 0 goal in their last three league matches as they slightly dampen a sparkling start to the season.

After two comfortable 3-0 victories marked the arrival of Thiago Motta, Juve have been denied in Serie A though they did overcome Champions League opening opponents PSV Eindhoven 3-1.

The Bianconeri could now record six consecutive Serie A shutouts for the first time to date, facing four consecutive goalless games for the first time in their long top-flight history for the first time as well.

Only two points behind city rivals Torino, who surprisingly sat atop Serie A after five rounds, Juve will not only be desperate to avoid conceding but also to rediscover the goal trail – especially misfiring striker Dusan Vlahovic, who touched the ball only six times before being replaced last week.

Juventus are 18th in terms of total shots and shots on target in Serie A and only 17th for touches in the enemy box.

Motta now goes back to Parma with a view of clinching a better outcome, both he and his erstwhile teams Genoa and Juve have settles for a draw in their two fixtures last season and with a mere two goals aggregate.

There have been four victories for each team and one draw in the teams' past nine league encounters at Stadio Luigi Ferraris. Meanwhile, Genoa has won its last three games against Juventus after suffering five straight losses earlier in the season.

Nonetheless, after a string of losses that will undoubtedly have damaged the club's morale, Alberto Gilardino's team will welcome the Bianconeri to Liguria.

After losing 2-0 against newly promoted Venezia on Saturday, they had five points from as many games as they had played, which put them in 17th place in the Serie A rankings. However, they were caught off guard by their fiercest rivals in the middle of the week.

Even though Andrea Pinamonti gave Genoa the lead early on, the team lost heartbreakingly to Sampdoria on Wednesday night in the Coppa Italia after giving up a late equalizer and losing on penalties.

The Grifone must attempt to prevent further suffering when Juventus visit Marassi this weekend after losing to Samp in the only Derby della Lanterna of the season and missing out on a meeting with Roma in the round of 16.

Due to Federico Gatti's return to full fitness for Juventus this week, either Pierre Kalulu or Nicolo Savona may be left off the squad on Saturday night.

Bremer, a crucial member of Juventus' defensive line, will marshal the Bianconeri's back four. He has two goals against Genoa, including his first Serie A goal in November 2019. In all five of Europe's major leagues over the last six seasons, no defender has scored as many headed goals (13) as this one.

Dusan Vlahovic, the team's top scorer for 2024, has only scored in one of his previous ten league games—a brace against Hellas Verona last month—despite leading the team in scoring.

Though Arkadiusz Milik remains out due to injury, the Portuguese winger Francisco Conceicao has returned to squad training and may find himself back on the bench. The Serbian striker will continue up front, though.
