The Detroit Pistons are actually a half game above .500 for the first time all season, and Cade Cunningham is why. The former first-overall pick is having a good season, reaching a 24 point per performance with 37.2% shooting from three-point range. The only time Cunningham has managed to hit an Over in points over the last seven games, there are various reasons to think this may change tonight.

The Golden State Warriors are going to be almost certainly very pissed and probably will be playing terribly short handed. Beyond Steph, Draymond, and Schroder on the injury list, Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, and Gary Payton are out for this game. Moses Moody is also questionable.

That’s those that are probably may not even dress for most of the Dubs rotation including Thompson, Livingston, and others. This creates a very viable chance for Cunningham to shine, at least in this respect. To his credit, he had 32 and 40 against the Blazers and Timberwolves before a paltry 13 on wednesday versus the Brooklyn Nets.
Tobias Harris has been one of the better pickups for the Pistons this season and his second tour with the team. Although the beads is not what it was before he left the 76ers, the veteran is still averaging 13.3 points in 35 starts.

After he dropped it in the last few games in December he has brought it up again in the new year. Harris has cashed the Over in points in four of his previous five appearances. He also shot fairly well against Golden State in 2023-24 playing 19.5 ppg in two games. I also expect him also to capitalised on the shorthanded Dubs.

There are no days off in 2024-25, Cunningham is averaging 27.7 points per night in seven games as well. If you want more proof, he scored 25.5 points per game against the Warriors in two games of the last season.

Remarkably, the Pistons have a 19-18 record going into Thursday's game against the Warriors, while the Warriors, with an 18-18 record, are in 10th place in the Western Conference and have the final play-in position. The Pistons will be favored by 1.5 to win their sixth consecutive game at Little Caesars Arena, this time in Detroit, following the Warriors' victory over them on January 5 in San Francisco.

The Pistons, who are undoubtedly headed by Cunningham, will play the Warriors, who rested on Wednesday, back-to-back nights. They only know what it's like to win in 2025.

This has already worked against them, as they have a 2-5 record this season when playing back-to-back nights. However, the Warriors' 4-6 record when playing with a rest advantage is also not very encouraging.

Betting services put Detroit as a 9.5-point favorite in the pregame action, so the Pistons' 113-98 victory over the Nets in Brooklyn on Wednesday was expected. They only gave up 98 points on defense, yet their offense consistently found the open man and recorded 30 assists between them.

Due to the extensive injury report for the Warriors, Detroit is actually a 3.5-point favorite tonight. We'll concentrate on that wager as part of this SGP because they're also trading at -155 on the moneyline.

This season, the Pistons are 5-2 as the home moneyline favorite. With five straight victories and an 8-2 record in their previous ten games, JB Bickerstaff's team is likewise on fire right now. Little Caesars Arena has been the site of four of their wins during this winning run.

In addition, Detroit's injury report is virtually blank save from Ausar Thompson's illness and Jaden Ivey's prolonged absence. Against the Dubs, the Pistons will snap a two-game losing streak.
