Queens Park Rangers will be up against Blackburn Rovers at the Ewood Park on Saturday next week with Blackburn hoping to make their run in the Championship to be In seven games without a loss.

They arrived at the Ewood Park when the hosts occupy the fifth place in the standing while the guests occupy the 14th place despite the two teams being in the middle of five-match undefeated.

Blackburn will not have been anticipating such a bright start to this new season when Blackburn ended last season in such style.

While Szmodics was sold to Ipswich Town the team managed by John Eustace has realistically been earning 12 points in six initial matches.

Rovers have since adopted the win-draw pattern right from the first match of the season at the end of which they claimed a goal in each of the games they played prior to the weekend stalemate at Preston North End.

That was the third stalemate in their last three away fixtures and all three of Blackburn’s wins this campaign have come on home soil at Ewood Park.

A total of nine goals have been scored during wins against Derby County, Oxford United and Bristol City and two successive games that ended in a shut out.

When it comes to QPR they come to the North-West having not been on the end of a loss in their last five fixtures, in the league proper in fact they have only been beaten once this season and that was in the company of West Bromwich Albion at Loftus Road.

Marti Cifuentes will not be pleased with the four draws that have been featured in five games while it has taken the back end of last season into account to see a run of only one loss in nine games.

Since the break, the Hoops have only had two games, one of which they won 2-1 against Luton Town and another which ended in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall respectively.

Their main drawback for the chosen formation is that they are yet to achieve a clean sheet in the second tier this season.

Eustace will have to make at least one Blackburn substitution following Owen Beck's dismissal from left back against Preston.

Amario Cozier-Duberry and Todd Cantwell are vying for their first debuts since joining Ewood Park in the last few hours of the transfer window.

Should Cifuentes decide to make changes to his QPR XI, Paul Smyth may be chosen on the flank in place of Koki Saito.

With Morgan Fox and Ilias Chair still sidelined due to injuries, the remainder of the team may not change.

With three wins and three draws in their first six games, free-scoring Blackburn has averaged two goals per game and is still undefeated. Nine of their twelve goals this season have come from Ewood Park, where they have a 100% winning record. Here, they have scored the majority of those goals and all of the victories.

Rovers' most recent match was an ugly 0-0 draw away to Preston last Saturday, during which left-back Owen Beck was given a red card late in the contest. Rovers were not in action in the Carabao Cup during the week. As a result, they were now ranked fifth in the Championship standings.

Queens Park Rangers have only lost one of their six games, which puts them in 14th position in the standings. Their biggest issue has been drawing; in four of their six Championship games this season, they have shared the spoils.
