Crystal Palace vs Fulham

Two teams in the English Premier league will be looking to secure maximum points and heading into the international break with a boost clash at the match venue described as SELHURST PARK on SATURDAY with Crystal Palace to take on Fulham.

Neither side could be split for home and away last season; the match consisting of a goalless draw at Selhurst Park back September, 2023, then an evenly contended 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage in the succeeding march.

In total after the match against Everton and subsequent defeats at the hands of Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, Palace was able to produce a three-match run without a loss in all competitions and has collected four points in their last two games on the Premier League.

The Eagles were able to clinch their first EPL win of the season in their own backyard when they edged Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 just a little over a week ago, and Brighton & Hove Albion also defeated Aston Villa 2-1 in the last 16 of the EFL Cup before playing out a 2-all draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Chalobah and Guehi netted for the Oliver Glasner’s team, which is ranked 17th in the Premier League and is on the verge of the relegation zone with only 10 games played.

Thus, after having won the last match with Spurs at Selhurst park, Crystal palace is now seeking to register two back to back London derbies victories in the English top flight since April 2017 when they triumphed over Chelsea and Arsenal.

Though, victory on Saturday could be difficult for the Eagles because every of their last five previous Premier League encounters with Fulham ended in draw, with the three previous games ending that way consecutively.

Fulham was heading towards their fourth consecutive Premier League defeat on Monday evening when stoppage time of the West London derby against Brentford came around.

But the Cottagers' perseverance paid off in the last third, as they were credited with a thrilling 2-1 victory thanks to super-sub Harry Wilson. In fact, the Welsh winger ignited crazy scenes at Craven Cottage by entering the game in the 82nd minute and scoring goals in the 92nd and 97th minutes with Fulham's 25th and 26th efforts on goal.

Following the game, Marco Silva praised his Fulham players' mentality and asserted that their determination was "rewarded" with three "deserved" points. With the victory, the Cottagers moved up to ninth place, just three points behind the top four, and reclaimed their place in the top half of the table.

Only five of the 15 points Fulham has gained from its first 10 Premier League games this season have come from away games. They only won four of their 14 away league games in 2024, including a 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest in September.

However, the Cottagers will bet on themselves to win this weekend's match against Crystal Palace since they have five points from their past three trips to Selhurst Park and have maintained three clean sheets.
