A victory by Arsenal at their Emirates home field against Fulham would reduce their points deficit behind Liverpool to nine points on Tuesday.

The Gunners hold second position with 58 points following their recent win of 1-0 against Chelsea while Fulham secured 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on March 16 to maintain their spot at eighth with 45 points.

Mikel Merino put Arsenal ahead against Chelsea during the 20th minute but the game remained uneventful because Chelsea failed to create any big chance along with zero xG.

The recent run of football produced by Mikel Arteta's side yielded no clean sheets in their recent three matches or home league games at the Emirates since the last four games.

The Gunners face Liverpool a day earlier but a loss could let third-placed Nottingham Forest approach within one point of Arsenal even though they remain 10 points ahead of Manchester City in fifth position.

Fulham brought Arsenal to a draw at 1-1 back on December 8 and the Gunners have now achieved only draw results or defeats versus Fulham in their last three matchups.

Arteta's team holds an unbeaten status in their last five matches but has collected only one victory while suffering defeats in two matches prior to this run.

Due to their 3-0 loss against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup quarterfinals the following Saturday Fulham bring a disappointing streak to this fixture.

Arsenal’s recent form at the Emirates has been inconsistent, with just four wins, two draws, and three losses in their last nine home matches.

Fulham, meanwhile, put in an impressive defensive display against Tottenham, limiting Spurs to just one first-half shot. Their strong performances this season have kept them in contention for European qualification—they sit just four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. However, their upcoming schedule is tough, with matches against Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea in four games.

Fulham have been in solid form lately, winning four of their last six league matches (losing two), scoring nine goals while conceding eight, and keeping one clean sheet. Their away record is particularly strong, with five wins in their last six road games and just one defeat in their previous six away fixtures.

Arsenal might benefit from the return of Bukayo Saka to the team on Tuesday, although Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are still absent.

Merino may be supported in attack by wide players Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri, since Saka is unlikely to start after only recovering from a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, with the injuries to Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson, Fulham may rely on Raul Jimenez to lead the line up front, with Willian and Alex Iwobi flanking him.

Sander Berge and Sasa Lukic played together in midfield the last time Fulham met Arsenal, and they are the most likely pairing on Tuesday.
